Our laboratory is located in the University of Illinois Research Park within the Enterprise Works facility in Champaign, Illinois. Our proximity to the University of Illinois provides intellectual and material resources that provide access to equipment and collaborations with the University.

DAPHNE PREUSS
Executive Leader
Daphne Preuss, BlooMD founder, brings entrepreneurship and innovation to agriculture. She previously founded Chromatin Inc. and brought together genetic technology and top talent to create a global sorghum company. She has served as an advisor to other start up companies where she helped transfer research from the lab to commercial viability. She was a Howard Hughes Investigator at the University of Chicago.

SHAWN CARLSON
Co-Founder
Shawn Carlson, BlooMD scientist, has worked at several agricultural biotechnology companies, including Mycogen, Dekalb and Chromatin as well as at the University of Illinois. She has laboratory experience as well as expertise in leading teams and working with collaborators.
